I Need A Hero by *Lachtaube The suggester writes: "The composition of the piece and skilled use of perspective really makes this stand out to me. It really looks like a screen-shot out of an action film! The subject really looks alive and frightened for his life!"

Description

I changed my art project at the last minute. Instead of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off: The Sabbath" here's the aftermath of a fight scene between my characters Alexander Serinue and Lana Moriem.

This is my first attempt at any kind of explosion. I looked at a couple references and tutorials but none of them are what I wanted so I just winged it. I'm not very good with perspectives.

Wow, nice work on this piece! The perspective is extremely eye-capturing; the figure above, until you see the next picture, is suspenseful and even slightly gives one an eerie feeling.

The explosion in the back seems realistic, but cartoonish, with a faint, red glow to give it that perilous feeling.

Cerinu is obviously the main focus; the detail on him was just amazing. From the rips in his shirt to his dangling feet, he looks like a realistic cartoon. His frightened expression gives more of an exaggeration as well, along with the way the mouth is shaped. Nice work, Abra!
