My One-Act -- Online!

  • Reading: James Herriot, All Creatures Great and Small
  • Watching: Lemons
  • Playing: Yooyu Ball for the Altador Cup Finals!
My senior year of high school I was given the chance to direct a one-act play for our school's annual Fine Arts Week with twelve other directors. We spent months choosing plays, holding auditions, casting, directing, and performing. ...Okay, it was like.. six weeks. But it felt like forever. D:

Anyhoo, after FAW was done, I was heartbroken because I was told that my one-act and the other I shared a time slot with weren't ever filmed for some reason. ... 8'D Well who ever told me that was WRONG. SO WRONG!

So here is the one-act I directed: "Lemons", by Rob Matsushita (who apparently released an actual book recently? Sweeeet.)

I apologize for poor sound quality. If you can't hear what they say at times and are dying to know I can write the bit out. XD

Here's some more directed by my friends!

And when there's extra time after one-acts, we do improv. :3 [link]

edit: o___o Um. I added the improv thing... without looking at it... andddd... didn't realize I was in it? So. SORRY IT'S AWFUL.

Oooh, this is awesome! I love acting in One Act Plays/ improv. But the fact that you could direct one is awesome! That's like, mad skill- especially because it was so good. 8D
Also- why are you so pretty? D:

Ahhh, memories...

~Cause you were the same as me, but on your knees~

It's sooo much fun! The only thing is, you have to build your way up, haha. At my school you have to take Theater I and II (which is an honors course), and then you can either TA a Theater I class or just jump in to Theater III which is an independent study (which is why there are only ~12 directors).

AND I GUESS MY CHROMOSOMES GOT LUCKY.
But I'm not digging the weird, smushed up faces I make. ono

:pointr: Kutner: You slept with Foreman?
:pointr: Thirteen: Sorry, you were busy.

Ah, that's awesome. I'm only in high school still, but I *finally* worked my way up to getting lead parts. We go on a production-based heirarchy, not really a class-based one. :| But hey! Now I finally get lines/ interesting parts! Whoot whoot!

Also, I still think you win the genetic lottery. And making weird, smushed up faces = fun for the whole family! =D
:iconlachtaube:
Haha, that's exactly how our school is in terms of productions. You don't have to take Theater II if you've been in all plays/musicals since freshman year. XD You just gotta work your way up academically if you want to get optimal butt-kissing opportunities. e-e;

Oh, yeah. Isn't that how its like everywhere? Butt-kissing has gotten me some meaty parts, lemmetellya. A hypochondriac...a drunk...a girl who gets raped...yup, good times. 8]
