Some couple of months ago, a user who referred to himself as KAOS hacked and accessed the more 'restigious' players of Neopia--you know, the ones with MSPPs and Super Attack Peas galore. Apparently he revealed passwords and pin numbers of around 600 accounts! If you think this does not pertain to you, please--keep reading.

You CANNOT get CG'd (cookie grabbed) on neopets.
NOT POSSIBLE.
Apparently I made that up because I was paranoid and thought I put 2 and 2 together. GLAD I DIDN'T!

You are only in danger if you go to any non-neopets site that is LINKED from somewhere on neopets! i.e. people can post this link on the neoboards, and I believe in their shops, userlookups, petpages, etc. So it's not the places you go that are themselves dangerous, it's the links hidden inside them.

Please note that if you go to this 'off-site' link, you will meet a page full of neopets doing inappropriate things.

If you find yourself there, I'm sorry, but there really isn't a whole lot you can do. I assume you can switch computers (if you are lucky enough to have more than one in your house) to play neopets. But once they've CG'd you, they've got you, no matter how many times you change your password or pin number.

Please know that the person behind this did not physically hack into neopets. I don't know the story behind that (apparently it occurred several years ago, though it may have only been a severe glitch?) but it is NOT the same person and NO ONE can hack into neopets (anymore).
