Nomads

This game was built for Salen Systems Thinking. Not really sure what happened to it. Production on it was kind of a flop, in part because it changed hands inefficiently between designers, it was not fully designed when production started, we were still learning how to get into our new production flow, design/programming changed frequently, etc.

I was the art lead on this and just kind of rode it into the ground when scope for art was cut and I was not at all happy with any of the art that ended up going into the game. But I was young and insecure! Now I know how to say 'no,' and 'do this instead.'

But, as with all of our games we've made in our studio, whether they've been released or not, we still make posters. So I made the poster for this game that we just nicknamed 'Nomads.' It features two members of the five groups, a larger-than-life Ibex (mirage) and a Jerboa. (That's a water canteen buried in the sand in the foreground.)

Done in Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop
